I discovered you during what I refer to as "The Great Covid Dumpster Fire" and consider myself lucky. Fatherhood is the best job you can pick for yourself. The early years of your child's life are incredibly special. With those two things in mind, taking "a step back," whatever that might mean, makes perfect sense! The BS, be it wokeism, climatism, covid mania, or [insert political or cultural hot-button here] will still be here. Trust me on that.

I first noticed your commentary a couple of years ago. I subscribed because your calm and well reasoned comments put you above the crowd & noise. Congratulations on your expanding personal life - the only stuff that really matters . I agree that many of us need to re center our focus while staying aware of our broader world. I certainly hope to continue to hear from you.

i love the feelings i get when i read your articles, feels like tapping into a great mind , for me this year is me being so intentional about achieving the goals I've set before me and also being readily available for the outcomes out of my goals to curate them for better optimization.

As a Stoic and workaholic, I resonate deeply with your message and have experienced a similar mental shift myself in recent months.

At the end of September, I had the honor of hosting a couple of CJ Hopkins events as part of his America Road Trip project. I wrote a post with the subtitle “The Cruelites Want Civil War; Let’s Resurrect Civil Discourse Instead”:

• “We Have Been Living Through a Global Blue Eyes/Brown Eyes Experiment”: https://margaretannaalice.substack.com/p/we-have-been-living-through-a-global

I think what you and I are both tapping into, Zuby, is the larger cultural zeitgeist craving human-to-human, face-to-face connection and honest conversations after years of totalitarian attempts to isolate, disconnect, splinter, and demoralize us. That doesn’t mean our international work to resist tyranny and stop democide ends; it just means it will be enriched by real-life experiences of talking to people in our communities as we work toward greater understanding of the world around us and one another.

Human to human communication is always best. It's a shame some people profit from chaos and division, but it's nothing new.

Amen, Zuby. Chaos and division are favorite tactics the intellimafia, as I reminded people after they tried to bait the right into civil war with the Charlie Kirk event (https://margaretannaalice.substack.com/p/memes-by-themes-20-the-intellimafia).

I think we are reaching a tipping point, however. More people are aware of the magic tricks than ever before in history—and are exposing it in real-time. It’s getting increasingly difficult for them to pull their stunts, which is encouraging but also makes them more dangerous, like a cornered animal. They are transitioning from soft totalitarianism to hard totalitarianism, and they aren’t bothering to hide it anymore. Forging real-life connections and building trust with people in our communities is what we need to survive the next phase.

I need to start making videos in 2026 and start building an audience to sell books to in about 18 months.

If money were no object, I'd buy expensive video equipment, write a script, and hire an actress.
